NJ_Ken
So, when can we start a thread talking about the February 25 storm threat? This is my heroin and, once spring rolls around, I will have to quit cold turkey until next fall so I am going to over-indulge while I can. Pohopoco
The second wave that will bring the moisture into our area Wed. wasn't really modeled, was it(well, Kocin saw it this AM)...Anyway the Freezing Rain Adv.'s for the LV/SoPo's is a good call and I believe the icing could extend even further S,maybe even close to some area's that were hard hit earlier...One saving aspect is it might just be,for my lack of a known name 'low ice'...I've only seen it during years when we've had abundant Snowpack+lengthy below avg. temps w/it...Basically I'd look out see there's no or little Frozen in the tree's,wires, etc, but then find a thicker than should be clear layer on driveway's,decks roads,etc,..a tipoff condition that I've seen before when it has occurred is present now... Pohopoco
and yes,I do know Mt.Holly mention's early Fr,Rain down that way,They're really 'on the ball' afaic, but seems the TV outlet's are choosing to downplay the ice and paint the rosy Warm picture... KamuSnow
Hmm a tarp over my snow mound now that's genius lol....I don't have a tarp big enough for the snowpile, and it's pretty awesome to be able to say that. My how it's grown. I was referring to a general cold air dome due to the snow on the ground and weeks of cold weather. lol at the things we do and think of.
