WxKnurd
+SN Mt Holly area, flake size keeps ticking up. I'd say closing in on an inch. Have literally doubled my total from the past 2 hours in less than 30 min. Those fretting about flake size, I promise you, the frustration will go away eventually! SharonA
After an actual warm-ish spell that led to dripping off some of the trees, we're now getting steady light sleetish-stuff. Yuk. Several limbs have come down in the woods, luckily none affecting utilities. *CRACK* crackbamcrackcrunchcrack *THUMP* every now and then, thanks to the high wind gusts. I went out to take some photos of the bent-over pines and noticed that the winds bouncing the limbs - or perhaps the brief warming of a crucial degree or two - bump lots of the silver glazing off their needles. So, the photos aren't as impressive as they would have been in the morning. If this current frozen precip keeps up, that might change. There's no snow accumulation. Yet. ArmyGreens
Haven't seen any freezing rain here on the east side of Columbia. Sleet on the other hand has been non stop! At least a few inches on the ground now and still sleeting. This is great since I was expecting to be without power today!
