gritsnc
Me and my husband both have to work tomorrow. I guess we will be attempting to get out of the neighborhood today. Our neighborhood has a huge hill we have to go up, so it should be interesting.
gritsnc
And of course we live in a neighborhood that doesn't get scraped.
aldamon
Am I crazy or is this new band going to eventually churn right over Durham? Seems to be pivoting that way.

Yes, you should flip to snow very soon. HRRR has done pretty good with today's event so far, it has snow for RDU through 5-6", flipping at noon. My area did a lot better yesterday than I expected. Agreed, I guess I got 5" (snow+sleet) plus a 0.25" of ice, my trees are really sagging now. If I get another inch of snow to get me to 6" that will be crazy, never thought that would occur with this event. This event reminds me of Jan 2002, two day event, ULL crossing south of us on day 2, only difference is that was all snow, why we got 10-12". FLweather
If that ULL remains closed off through its track through NC. Traid areas could really cash in with higher amounts the what the HRRR been showing. Edit: Seeing the observation thread I think wilksborodude is back.
