rduwx
Indeed it was. It's probably something in the carburetor. Old gas sitting in there isn't good and that's what is wrong w/ mine. I bought it brand new during the Dec. 2002 ice storm.
packbacker
Hold everything..... Could it be?? Maybe I was wrong, phasing later, but the pattern is more amplified, not sure what the heck is going on.
rduwx
I'm not so sure this is going to be west. Still has a pos tilt at 36 on my maps. We'll see where it goes.
packbacker
The storm thread has turned into SE thread for CLT and points south, for us central NC folks we have been relegated to the banter thread, LOL

The differences are so small, looks like it may be about the same, who knows, it's the NAM past 36 hours.
superjames1992
Battle of the PBP. Some say it's phasing west, some say it's phasing east. Fun.

True. Happy for them though. They're gonna get clobbered!
rduwx
Well it's definitely a late phase and appears to be just off the coast. This could be better for central NC.
NCSU_Pi
If we have to im willing to try gettin a bunch of fans together so we can blow that thing east! I'm in with two box fans, and I'll even stand outside and blow as hard as I can to the east!
packbacker
It's going to be weaker and east, should be less WAA, I would guess, but less precip too, I would guess. Its the NAM past 48 hours, not a whole lot of stock in it.
JoshM
LOL @ the NAM... mighty good stuff you're smoking
packbacker
It's a hair east and weaker, should start ramping up, but not till it's probably north of us though.

Bevo
I too have been amazed at the vast difference in forcasted amounts for my area, the upstate. Anything from 3-6 to 8-12 out there right now. Honestly, I am getting a little concerned about my big one here, the trend today has been for precip to go further SE and looks like first batch tomorrow will completely miss us north of 85. Not sure what you were looking at to begin with. The first s/w was never going to be a big producer for the northern upstate. In fact, we would rather see the track just off the coast if truth be told.

packbacker
Verbatim for RDU, it's a raging sleet storm, maybe 1-2" of snow, and 3" of sleet. I don't think it's frzn.
Cold Rain
Does this change anything appreciably for the Triangle area? What I'm looking for here are the words "more snow" or I suppose "more sleet" would suffice too.
rduwx
At this point I'm not really looking for a trend that'll keep me all snow. Snow and sleet would be fine but I'm really looking for trends to keep me out of the awful zr. I haven't looked at soundings but would think the nam is not a lot of zr but more sn/ip. Dunkman
The NAM is a great start for the most important 00z runs of my life. I don't think so at all. The NAM is even more dangerously close to disaster for the Triad. This has been very stressful. I don't expect much sympathy for those on the ice side of things, but being right on the edge of the great snow line for 2 days knowing you have to stay there for 2 more days of model runs is pretty rough. I'm really not sure we're going to make it.

That was a good shift east, especially after reached our latitude. But it's the NAM at 60 hours.
chapelhillwx
Oh Lord they're talking about similarities to January 25 2000 on the radio show with regard to the comma head signature. No one tell Brick.
Shawn
Never listening to the radio show again. All about their stupid snow. Not a crippling ice storm.
