Deck Pic
starting w/the first purple, which is 6", I got to a max of 14" around DCA/BWI I'm sure with possible mixing issues (even on GGEM), surface issues on Thursday, esp when snow is light...we'll get 12:1 ratios...sorry, not directed at anyone specific, but snow maps are frankly idiotic
Nor Easter
NAM, GFS & GGEM don't seem to get the CCB as intense or as far west as you would see in typical miller A's due to the incoming system over the Great Lakes. Still surpised how the Jan '87 system was able to achieve that.
clskinsfan
I-81 peeps: calm down. this is a great set-up for us. focus on the track of the energy and not on precip maps. Come on guys. We have been through plenty of these things.

Ian
Everyone should know snowmaps are not great on their own but if it shows you in the bullseye it's still worth saving.
BaltimoreWxGuy
where do you see mixing on those maps? I see like one panel of sleet Hours 74 on..before the ULL really comes thru...yes a lot of precip has fallen prior to that, Im just saying verbatim its mixing just before/during the ULL passage but after the main show of the coastal low. Deck Pic
12z GEFS mean, is similar to OP with track, but as expected precip shield is expanded further west...not sure how useful these are at this point...esp a mean
