starting w/the first purple, which is 6", I got to a max of 14" around DCA/BWI

I'm sure with possible mixing issues (even on GGEM),  surface issues on Thursday, esp when snow is light...we'll get 12:1 ratios...sorry, not directed at anyone specific, but snow maps are frankly idiotic

NAM, GFS & GGEM don't seem to get the CCB as intense or as far west as you would see in typical miller A's due to the incoming system over the Great Lakes. Still surpised how the Jan '87 system was able to achieve that.

Lemme guess where you live...Frederick?

although rarely accurate at this range, they sure are fun to look at with a storm as menacing as this one

12z GEFS mean, is similar to OP with track, but as expected precip shield is expanded further west...not sure how useful these are at this point...esp a mean

Yeah, I'd rather see the members.  I still think they might have some value, especially with the GFS still trying to catch up.

SQL'ed.....I'll be back for the euro...20 second load times and SQL errors make this annoying..surprised there hasn't been a solution for heavy traffic during big events in 10 years (eh...not really surprised)...make sure everyone donate
