He must be a brave man  to put out a map 3-4 days before the possible event. I wouldn't do so until atleast tues. night,,,,,,,,,,but who am I   ?????? We'll see if it verifies.

DT is forcing me to like him. At least for 5 days anyway

That a hype call imo. Yea, it can be backed up with some guidance but its pretty high on the failometer at this lead.

He's trying to ride this one to home runville as he hugged the euro all along. I dunno now you make that map right now but it'll get a lot of shares.

It really is a sick and twisted hobby/profession. Meteorologists and weather enthusiasts are just masochists who use weather models and maps to obtain the thrill. I would say it's better than using drugs, but sometimes I wonder

Cheaper, less track marks and a lot fewer deaths. So i would say it's better.

yeah....But I mean I can kind of pretend that all options are on the table, but I am not taking the GFS or GEFS too seriously...

It's hard not to lean euro/others at this point tho the GFS isn't bad with the northern stream so I wonder about that Midwest kicker.

Don't worry, this is just "First Guess, Part A1, Version 1.0, Non-Official"

He'll have at least ten more maps before his "final call" which will come halfway through the storm on Thursday...

Considering all the social media snow map debate and such DT has been hyping up a storm in recent days. I'm not going to lie, I'm rooting for him. But I may need to troll him if he ends up wrong.

He messaged me on FB just before he released the map to say that the GFS was B.S. and he was pleased to see the NAM looking like the Euro.

At that point I knew exactly what he was going to do. To create his early maps he tends to just draw lines over the qpf contours of his favorite model. DT blinder mode is now fully engaged. His #warmandquiet period is working out well.

GD the gfs is pissing me the F off. I'm all out on the gfs and all in on the euro

I can't believe it backed off on the means. That's worrisome

not to me...it has been terrible the whole way through....I honestly dont care what it shows....other than the fact that it screws us, I dont believe it at all

The thing about DT is that he acts like he's above everyone, when in reality he's just another weenie with a larger megaphone. He just does what a lot of us do (myself included). He waits for the next model run, checks out a clown map, and either hypes the storm up or goes into depression mode.

Sometimes I want to like the guy because he goes so hilariously insane, but then someone will make a seemingly innocuous comment on his FB page and he'll say to that person "shut up ***hole" (as he just did a few minutes ago). Then I find myself not being able to stand the guy again.

I need to know where your bar is set. I'm 6+ for a big win and totally happy with 4. I can also deal with 2-3 and a pile of sleet and some ice. Anything less can suck it

Your bar would be a spectacular win for me. However, I live in northeastern Va on the fall line so I'm 3 inches plus for a big win and totally happy with 2. I can also deal with three quarters of an inch and a very small pile of sleet and some glaze about fourteen nanometers thick.
