SomeguyfromTakomaPark
Perfection. Right now, I just want something that tops the best snowfall of the season. Not too high a bar I hope given how things look at the moment. I'll settle for 3+ in dc

Jebman
It's definitely the one we've been waiting for since this weekend's HECS. I damn near broke my back digging out from this weekend's HECS
BristowWx
21z SREF. DC is now in the 0.5" contour. And yet even with us hoping the storm comes north PHL still has more QPF than us...they cannot be denied this year
Don Cherry's Jacket
21z SREF. DC is now in the 0.5" contour. And so begins the slow, tragic walk backwards that has been the last three weeks. I'm not liking the trend the last few runs.

hosj III
Eh, it's a thread the needle situation which could yield a MECS. I'm not buying it, but then again, that's just my gut feeling, not really based on experience or evidence. The high sliding off the coast and the low in the great lakes are red flags. I'm skeptical as well. Though we can probably get a few inches on the front end.

Subtropics
The best thing about this setup is there is still a lot of room for improvement. This time tomorrow night we could be looking at a foot + region wide with lollies to 18. I am growing increasingly concerned about the possibility of thunder snow in the places that get into the best dynamics. With this comes the possibility of power outages as the winds begin to increase as the coastal undergoes bombogenesis.
Bob Chill
Anyone who doesn't like this sref run needs to lay off the narcotics. It's solid @ h5 and precip. Another run behind us with a bright future.
yoda
Huh? I am not sure where your post about few inches on the front end comes from. Just about all models were good for snow and some mixing on a Miller Aish storm

snowfan
Hadn't seen this in here. From the SE thread. HPC..... THE MORE NORTHERN SOLUTIONS OF THE 12ZECMWF/UKMET/00Z ECMWF ENSEMBLE MEAN REMAIN POSSIBLE BUT HAVE LOWER PROBABILITIES...DUE IN PART TO THE STRENGTH OF THE SURFACE HIGHFORMING OVER THE NORTHEAST/NEW ENGLAND.
