18z gefs has some support for next weekend. If we can get at least a decent snowfall (4"+ areawide) on Wed then I'm good with a nice warmup. I've wasted a lot of time this winter tracking. It's been a busy year.

That would be perfect...A storm mid week with 4"+ followed be something on the weekend. After that, I would be content with a nice warming trend.   Chances it will work out like that...10%

It's probably best policy not to click links to imgur from a newbie. I dunno why we keep getting them.. it's probably one person spoofing IPs or something.

I made that mistake from a government office on Friday.  Def not cool.  I spent an anxious few hours waiting for my phone to ring with a call from the IT folks...  Lesson learnt!

Can't you make it so that newbies can't post for 5 days or make them verify their email account or something?

We might have to do something like that. Email verif is part of it already.

I have seen references to the 1993 superstorm floating around online. It looks like this might be "the one" we have been waiting for for years.

It's definitely the one we've been waiting for since this weekend's HECS.

Eh, it's a thread the needle situation which could yield a MECS. I'm not buying it, but then again, that's just my gut feeling, not really based on experience or evidence.

in light of ensemble runs in particular, I think growing expectations are putting the whisper numbers in the 6-12" range

I know that's what I'm shooting for.

The one's we had been waiting for years happened in '10... We will never have anything like that again in our lives.
