Voyager
I guess my question was ray not about QPF output on the 4km NAm, just the stark differences on tis placement of the CCB. I saw those images over in the NYC thread. Was I right when I saw 40-45 dbz over Allentown?

That I couldn't tell you. Til we're within 12 hours I'd guess the globals will have a better handle on it.

NAM jumps the CCB right over the area and reforms it NE, while 4km NAM intensifies it right through the area late tomorrow evening, first nw of the city up through LV, then swings it through the city and east around/just after midnight. huge difference from reg NAM, prob doesn't matter either way at this range. But seriously, I do think we will get at least a few inches of snow from it tomorrow night. Just how intense it will be is still TBD.
famartin
GFS for all its worth (heh) still has only 7" at TTN. Still keeping 6-12" forecast but leaning on the high side for sure.

snowlurker
Anyone want to hazard a guess as to which model handled this best in the short-term? The Euro was all over this in the medium-long range of course. I didn't see the 0z GFS last night but as of 18z it was still very low on qpf.
