Windspeed
That dry slot really did kill the snow through the early AM. I only measured 5-3/4 inches this morning around 8 AM. However, in the past hour, the snow has ramped up over upper East Tn and SWVa. We've got an additional inch since 10 AM. The band that is forming doesn't look like it's going anywhere anytime soon. Perhaps we can get 2-3 more inches out of this.
valkhorn
Anyone talking about the potential for another quick inch Friday Night? A LOOK AT THERMAL PROFILES SUGGESTS THEREMAY BE SOME SNOW FRIDAY OVER THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS...AND THE RAINMAY TRANSITION TO SNOW FRIDAY NIGHT BEFORE ENDING EVEN IN LOWERELEVATION AREAS. SOME LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL BEPOSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY HIGHER ELEVATIONS. NO ADVISORY FOR NOWESPECIALLY GIVEN THE ONGOING WARNING FOR THE CURRENT EVENT...BUTWILL CONTINUE TO MENTION IN HWO.
