Up to 1.5", with 1/4" over the last hour or so.  Still snowing lightly here, but the radar is looking quiet from here on out...

Finished up with 1.75" of fresh, beautiful, fluffy, white snow - it's gorgeous out there and the event looks to be just about over. NWS forecast of 1-2" with a few 3" locations was spot on. Be careful, though, because it's slippery out there, as temps are in the low/mid 20s, so untreated roads are snow covered and likely will be for tomorrow morning's rush hour...

Loving this nickel and dime winter.  Fortunately we've had more dimes than nickels and even a couple of quarters, but enjoying the nickels too.

Had a great snowshoe around the local pond today (second largest freshwater lake on LI).  Tough crusty snow made the hike take about 45 minutes longer than usual, but trees still coated with snow and people parked out on the pond ice fishing made for a very nice afternoon and early evening (I finished in the dark, but before it started snowing).  I could still see headlamps out in the middle of the pond.  The ice fishermen weren't giving up yet.

Now how about a big 'ol silver dollar?

Edit: "Parked" as in a camp chair...no cars.

Very cool! I was going today what are they nuts till i read no cars! I am hesitant to walk on the ponds here! Obviously it's colder there but still. Everyone here is talking about the lack of melting. The last storm although we had rain really soaked into the last storms snow and turned it into a glacier. Now with two more inches we are talking a real snow pack something you see in coastal Maine. With this next threat we would need a week of well above normal pacific flow to make a dent. Mall piles are a lock till early spring!

1.3" Port Jeff...snow quickly broke out around 6:30 PM...then diminished to flurries for almost 90 minutes...then picked up again...ending shortly before 11 PM.
