Absolute Humidity
1.4" looks like it's getting locked in but will wait for rest of suite and 12z RGEM tomorrow. Still a chance for this to dig a little more.
WintersGrasp
Everyone please stop arguing over whether it's an inch or an inch and a half, etc. it's pretty ridiculous today. It's not a big snowfall by any means. Whether it's a half inch, inch, or inch and a half....why argue over it when it hasn't happened yet? Model play by play is good, but it's been causing so many arguments

Still a chance for this to dig a little more. The trough is ridiculously sheared out. There's only so much something like that can produce. Plus the OTS system today off the Carolinas stole a lot of what this trough could make.
sferic
I have no expectations, just snow in the air, the asphalt and snow piles whitened; that's good enough, we still have 6 weeks of fun ahead with surprises no doubt.
jm1220
I'm hoping for a steady period of snow, but wouldn't surprise me either if there ended up just being some snow showers/flurries. It's hard for me to remember a time when a flat, sheared out trough produced much snow.

sferic
Frankfurter? A "sferic" is a device used back in the day to triangulate lightening strikes. Learned that term from a meteorology book I read when I was 10.
