Wild Weather Monger
Nary a flurry here despite what looked to be a pretty good radar presentation. Been sitting out on the back deck thinking any minute now.

WeatherNC
HRRR is under-doing reflectivity at initialization, RUC may be slightly overdoing but pretty close. Returns should start to fill in over S NC over the next 2 hours, temp has come up 2 degrees here with the cloud-cover rolling in, 36/27.
metalicwx366
45 and heavy rain. System definitely has more precipitation than expected. NWS and TWC only gave 30-40% chances and models except I guess the RAP didn't have all this rain.

Snowless in Carrollton
Radar looked really good but nothing reached the ground here. weird. I wonder why it reached the ground here but not there. It was the prettiest snow I've seen in years. Huge flakes. much heavier than we had at any point last week. Of course it didn't last long which is why we didn't get as much as last week.
Lookout
Radar looked really good but nothing reached the ground here. Same here. Had 20 dbz for a while and as high as 25plus dbz. Pretty surprising.
GAdawg
This makes me wonder about the storms for next week. If we had good returns today but nothing got to the ground do you think we are in the same boat next week?
FLweather
Pretty good band running through Durham and Raleigh. Along with the band running up 95. If it snows and the ground turns white east NC it will be. Sometimes it seems like eastern portions of NC is the new Boone.
Southern Track
This makes me wonder about the storms for next week. If we had good returns today but nothing got to the ground do you think we are in the same boat next week? No, different animal of sorts. This is a fast moving system in the upper atmosphere. The cloud level was never gonna get low enough to give a lot of precip tonight. That's why the returns look great but none of it is really reaching the ground.
