Maybe something to keep an eye on for early next week. It's just the long range GFS, so it's a longshot at best, but something to keep an eye on I guess. Not sure if the other models are showing something similar.

All the models have something around that time to watch.

I am hearing a few long-range forecasters discussing mid-month, including on Weather World, where they mentioned the possibility of something big at that time. As Stinkbugspecialist said, our climate is not one where you can count out snow chances even into April.

Hell, I remember seeing the daffodils around Station Square crushed by snow a couple of times when I lived in Pittsburgh. A sad sight that was, lol.

March is my favorite month. We can see a variety of weather, plus the days get longer. We have seen our biggest 24 hour snowfall in March and had a tornado a few years ago in March.

It was tough walking in cold today after last week. I'm starting to really want warmer temps. Wouldn't mind a big snow, but as March goes on I'll be looking for warmer temps. I think we start to seeing warmer temps late March. Just a hunch.

Just realized that clocks go forward on 3/9.   Nice to have it about 3 weeks earlier than it used to be.

Sunday evening - Tuesday Morning. Verbatim is a close call between zr and sleet and rain, its so far out though that who knows if that solution will even be close to correct!

If we are not getting any snow with this system I would rather have rain. No need for ice storms ever especially in March.

12z Euro is intriguing -- nice 12 hour snowfall dump over PIT 6-18z Mon.   As usual, I expect that the solution will change a bit as we get closer to the possible event.  Main s/w appears to eject from the large 500 hPa low over the northern Pacific.  Until that s/w is over land (perhaps by 0z Sun), I imagine model solutions will be unsettled.  Still, as modeled it's a nice storm with decent high pressure to the north and PIT cold enough for snow.  850 hPa low tracks over the Morgantown, WV area.

First number is 2M temp, second number is 850 temp, and you can probably figure out the OPF.
