free_man
just 15 miles north of Mr. Butts, almost an inch of fluffy snow with no radar returns. elevation playing a factor? when I drove from CON to Salisbury (rise of about 400 ft) it was sticking on the road past 600 ft. no radar returns but pretty nice snow growth and a few hours of steady light snow. off to bed Radar in your area (and just west of here) gets shadowed and light radar returns often aren't picked up. OceanStWx
Some backbuilding going on. Chicago getting almost 2 with less than a tenth was a good sign, congrats southern crew. Remember Chicago's climatology on snow ratios is more similar to Pittsburg, NH than BOS, not exactly apples to apples.
OceanStWx
Seriously lower downeast Maine to seacoast nh should get 2-4. HRRR agrees. Simulated reflectivity doesn't appear to be too far off.
