mahk_webstah
GFS was too wet..but Euro was too dry..It had a few flurries and now it's got 1-2. Neither model was good..though at least the GFS had snow the conversation is in the past tense about that hasn't happened yet.
CoastalWx
Yeah you guys might be able to actually get 3-5 if it breaks right..Clear skies here lol..hopefully clouds are in by mid morning No, it's SE of where I live. That's more PYM county.
OceanStWx
Euro had flurries to a coating or so. GFS had 4-6". That was a GFS fail. Yeah a forecast from widespread advisory to an inch with lollis to 2. GFS nailed it. There is a reason the Euro wins the QPF verification battle. codfishsnowman
one to two would be great tonight, nice steady mood snow and whiten the piles back up. have to say this snow is not sublimating as fast as i thought it would, seems to me the snow from the blizzard was sublimating quicker
powderfreak
Can't believe Cpick hasn't posted this yet, the mighty BTV WRF. Tolland highlands enhancement in northeast CT.
Damage In Tolland
Can't believe Cpick hasn't posted this yet, the mighty BTV WRF. Tolland highlands enhancement in northeast CT. WRF.JPG That model I honestly think is worse than the NAM.

dendrite
PSM-north along the coast could get 2-3", but they are climo favored in these setups.
TalcottWx
Having possibly the sunniest snow shower ever. Looks like sun came out post snowstorm and the snow is falling off the trees.

Clinch Leatherwood
4km NAM is too far north it seems but where it has this band it sits for hours on the maps. Snow has fallen enough already that it's blowing around. It's "pounding" as people like to say.

Clinch Leatherwood
I bet. They went down to a half mile earlier. Going to head out to measure in a bit. Maybe that much here already too. Snowglobe stuff but with some wind too. Hoping the 4km is wrong and it's setting up over me but wouldn't be surprised to see the convergence pull back north. Clinch Leatherwood
Messengers private snow. Scott and I are going to get goal posted I think. IMO can see that this may want to setup east west up north of Duxbury towards Hull...or somewhere in between. If someone ended up under this for 4 or 5 hours they'd get a half a foot easy
Clinch Leatherwood
We've been seeing occasional light snow, but in the 3-6sm vis range type stuff so far this morning. BTV WRF likes the coastal sections of Eastern New England, hits the outter cape pretty hard, too. WRF.JPG That actually looks really good...I think the band sets up right about where it shows up south of Hull. IMO can see that happening. Winds just died here too. I think we need to send the Tolland DPW down to southern Plymouth County before things start getting out of hand.
powderfreak
That model I honestly think is worse than the NAM. Its usually not bad in meso-scale events. It will highlight the right areas. And all in all this season it hasn't been any worse than any other model. No one can say one model really performed well so far this season. Clinch Leatherwood
I think we need to send the Tolland DPW down to southern Plymouth County before things start getting out of hand. LOL. I think we'll be safe. It's mainly lighter but still accumulating. SuperRes Velocity kind of shows the spin out over the Bay sinking south. so we'll see where this ends up setting up. Clinch Leatherwood
radar starting to expand here again and snow is suddenly picking up. NAM/HRRR/RAP all show the main little surface focus is NNE..but that hasn't been the case all day and it'll be interesting to see if it ends up further south than modeled the next several hours. HIPPYVALLEY
BGM radar looks good It's not falling apart which is a good sign. I'd be quite happy with the high end of BOX 1-2" map. lol
