Snowstorms
About 2.8-3.2cm in my area atm. Snow is coming down heavily. Reduced visibility. LOL...im going to be late to class today aha.
blizzardof96
Can confirm that i have 5.9cm down here. Snowing as heavy as it has all winter(probably ~2-4cm/hr).
Snowstorms
The highways and especially downtown are going to be a mess. I'm going to be stuck in traffic for hours. I can confirm what blizzardof96 said, "rates are probably ~2-4cm/hr".

snowstormcanuck
Reversed expectations. 401 north getting it hard. Lakeshore seems to be relatively unscathed at this point.
Snowstorms
Best rates I've seen all season. About 3.8cm now. Time to head out.
snowstormcanuck
So through 12z...looks like 2-3" fallen along and north of the 401. Probably 1-1.5" downtown. I think this'll all even out in the end, but I no longer expect the N-S gradient. My call for Toronto was 5-7" although maybe a lucky guy or two touches 8". blizzardof96
Death band from the 700mb low approaching quickly on exeter radar.
snowstormcanuck
LES band never really materialized as fulsomely as the HRRR had indicated (which isn't surprising given the marginal parameters). I'm seeing a lot of angry tweets from people down in Hamilton-Niagara over the lack of snow.

It was a bad time for Buffalos radar to crap out. The radar was showing the faintest returns here and it doesn't look like its snowing until you look real close. I wonder if thats the same for Oakville/Hamilton

This break was shown on the models. we have close to 4-5cm since 11pm, It will really have to rip for it to come anywhere close to the 15cm+ in the west end
Snowstorms
In the last 15 minutes I've moved 300m on the road -_- Looks like 5cm has fallen thus far.
mississaugasnow
Is my estimate of 1-1.5" down by the lake accurate? ya almost dead on. Id say closer 1.5-2 inches down here. I can't speak for oakville/hamilton since they were under some heavier returns late last evening and I just missed those

So even down there you're closing in on 2". The defo band almost certainly is going to deliver at least 4", so I'm pretty confident you hit 6"/15cm. Whether it's 15+ is a little less likely. Torontonian
Can confirm that i have 5.9cm down here. Snowing as heavy as it has all winter(probably ~2-4cm/hr). Measured about 2 cm IMBY by Queens Park in T.O. Left this thread 12 hrs. ago when noticed system shrinking and moving too fast. Looks little better to north of 401 and east. Was supposed to be opposite. Big snowhole in downtown T.O per usual. Don't even feel like 10 cm will happen in downtown T.O.
blizzardof96
8cm down here now. Incredible rates with a Solid SN contiuning. A few cars were having trouble continuing near my house. Needed a push from the neighbours.
