Is ORD going to beat LAF?

What are they both at now? I'm looking at blowing snow, so it's difficult to estimate, but I think I've hit about 6.5" maybe 7" judging on my dog's legs, but if I pull out a ruler, I can probably find a foot...

Continued dry air issues and quick progression is going to keep things in check and from overachieving around the area.

There are no dry air problems any more (lower levels are saturated). Just continued poor lift as evident by the lack of any decent Omega for example.

That said, lift appears to be finally improving with support from the upper level low moving in.

Even in the 6z update LOT said there had been continued LL dry air issues that would be shortly overcome.

We're getting a mix of sleet and snow right now.  What snow is falling is pretty big, but there's quite a bit of sleet mixing in.

850 low is passing over IND, and then probably over or close to you. WAA doing its dirty work. But better to do it at the end.
