Jed33
Have about 1.75 in on the ground now no joke, but the roads that were covered have turned to slush since there is some insolation still making it to the ground. My house sits at about 1,450ft so that may also be helping me. Temp is 29 currently
nrgjeff
Correlation Coefficient loop on dual-pole radar confirms Chattanooga change back to snow is for real this time. Could be a brief waffle again next 60 minutes but by 5pm Eastern, or shortly thereafter, it is all snow for the evening performance.
Tabbycat
Starting back up in Knox. A Channel 8 Met (not the one you all usually mention) was just on the radio and he said still 5-7 inches if not more. I guess they're our snow lover forecasters. dwagner88
Jeff, I was just about to post, I've had 90% snow for about the last 10 minutes. Not huge flakes yet, but this time it appears to be here to stay.
GeneR4
Here in Madison, AL, I have seen .5 inches of light rain all morning/day. It is now trying to change over to sleet/snow. Temps in mid 30's.

Stovepipe
Starting back up in Knox. A Channel 8 Met (not the one you all usually mention) was just on the radio and he said still 5-7 inches if not more. I guess they're our snow lover forecasters. Aldrich just said on the air that he's still going with 5-9 for the valley. Heavy from 7pm to midnight, might last through 8am. Down to 32 here, the last burst got the ground mostly white. John1122
Hope it picks up for you John, I feel like it will by dark. I'd hope so, but so far the large dry crack downstream is actually growing right now. The band that's been just west of me for 5 hours is finally rotating my way but it's currently weakening as it moves this way. Just very light snow so far. I hope it gets going here by 8. I should probably get a 5 hour window of decent rates if it goes as expected. Maybe 2-3 inches.
Tabbycat
Picking up again from is lasted lull. The only thing white outside is my umbrella top and a little on the japanese maple. And my neighbor's fence which I see outside my window when I sit at my desk and it keeps confusing me that I see snow, lol.

Still not super impressed with the flake size, but I'm likely under 0.50 mi visibilities right now.
nrgjeff
Columbus, Mississippi changed over to snow in the robust back edge of the precip. Yes, that far south. Tupelo precip is too light, so go by Columbus. Comma head means business. We got a long buffet line of snow heading to the Tennessee Valley including North Alabama and North Georgia. Heavy snow quarter mile vis reported in northwest Alabama per surface ob.
