WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 11 AM

EST SATURDAY.

* EVENT...AN AREA OF SNOW WILL SPREAD EAST ACROSS THE NORTHERN

PLATEAU INTO SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA LATE TONIGHT AND SATURDAY

MORNING. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS BETWEEN 1 AND 2 INCHES ARE

ANTICIPATED.

* TIMING...LIGHT SNOW DEVELOPING BETWEEN 1 AND 3 AM SATURDAY

MORNING DIMINISHING TO FLURRIES BY NOON.

* IMPACTS...LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL PRODUCE SNOW AND ICE

COVERED ROADWAYS...ESPECIALLY ACROSS BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES. THE

MISSISSIPPI VALLEY TONIGHT INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. LIGHT SNOW
HAS ALREADY SPREAD INTO EASTERN ARKANSAS...NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI...AND
WEST TENNESSEE. SNOW IS EXPECTED TO SPREAD ACROSS THE REST OF THE
MID-SOUTH AND CONTINUE OVERNIGHT BEFORE ENDING BY SATURDAY
MORNING. AREAS ALONG AND NORTH OF INTERSTATE 40 CAN EXPECT AN INCH
OF SNOW WITH SOME AREAS RECEIVING UP TO TWO INCHES...WITH AROUND
AN INCH EXPECTED SOUTH OF THE I-40 CORRIDOR.
