Baroclinic Zone
Like 99.98% sleet here. Every so often I see a flake come by. Road has not been touched, but the driveway/cars are done for now.
mattb65
It's more like 7" out there now. If the RAP/hi res crew is correct, we stay snow and do *quite* well. Radar looks pretty sweet and I think the sleet will keep washing out just a bit south of us. I wouldn't be surprised if we push 12" here in this area. We managed to get clocked by some pretty sweet bands without many lulls. Still moderate at least even in this semi-"lull"
CoastalWx
Wife estimates 7" or so. They have been in that heavy band for 90 min. Saw a pic for myself.

FRWEATHA
Mostly rain here now with a few pellets. Had about 3.0 inches then there was a lull for about 1.5 hrs. before heavy sleet quickly turned to what we have now.

HIPPYVALLEY
About 6.5" new out there, but radars don't look too good upstream. Still moderate snow right now though. This could underachieve a little IMBY. Yeah, not sure you get near 10-14" call by Alb & Box unless radar fills in better. Still time though. ORH_wxman
12z NAM looks pretty good even for MA later today...it hangs back good RH even up through 700mb. So Even if things slow down, I think there will be additional snows..esp N of the pike.
eduggs
Well I thought we would do better in the 7am-10am time frame. Didn't happen. But 4am-7am was a thump and we got the .5 liquid in 6 hours that was modeled so it's kind of wash. Hopefully we can squeeze out 2 or 3 more inches on the day to get it looking like a legit snowstorm out there.

sankaty
Dry slot racing in from the southwest. Won't be too sorry to see the sleet go. Is it me, or did yesterday's models (even excluding the NAM) overdo the warm push in CT? The sleet line not even reaching the MA border seems a bit of a surprise.
