butterfish55
Definitely not sleet, it's snowgrains. Yeah it almost shut off completely for about a half hour. I thought it changed to sleet, but definitely not, just the smallest flakes ever. And just in the last 5 minutes the flake sized has increased and coming down heavily again. Yeah, there is another batch moving in to the area. I think that will be our last hurrah before we pelt.

Still only 28.3/28 here, so hopefully we'll stay with some kind of frozen for most of the day
JC-CT
Still a lot of snow mixed in here. In fact, just switched back to mostly snow, though I'm sure it won't last long. The deck (keep in mind there was about 4" preexisting): 20140205_073424.jpg It looks like there is a big warm pocket that is moving over me and tickling Kev, but back to more snow for a bit to the west until the next batch moves in? Baroclinic Zone
This large area of bright echoes was actually well modeled. This was the huge warm tongue push that changed over most S of the MA/CT/RI border.
Mr. Windcredible!
pleasantly surprised here. Just took a measurement about 20 minutes ago...5.5". Not sure when we transitioned to sleet...so there could even be a bit of compaction with that. Sleeting heavily now at 29F.
rboarderi
Surprisingly 5" on the ground when I woke up in Niantic before the sleet started. My parents 25 miles away in Westerly, RI reported only an inch.
Yukon Cornelius
Snowing at a decent clip out here, but the snow growth is putrid.

Yes. That was my interpretation and experience, too. However, we're back to mostly sleet now. Resistance, as it turns out, is actually futile.
