Sitting at 33 here. Doesn't look like much of any ice has melted off the trees. Winds about to pick up in an hour or so. This could get interesting.

I second that notion. Temps have busted low as well, so that re-freeze is already starting out there. We briefly got to 32.5F this morning, but have fallen to 30.8F already.

I was thinking sitting at 34 a light wind may help knock the loose ice out of the trees... but temps are starting to drop and the winds are just now starting to pick up... small branches are coming down right now... not a big deal... but just saw altoona peak gust of 39 mph... if that wind gets to this side of the mountains yikes...

I know it is the NAM and the 18z NAM at that but this is darn close. it goes OTS but I don't think it would take much to ride up the coast.

I am no expert though:

8.2 inches here. there is a layer of ice on the top but I didn't measure it. My snow thrower was having some issues with the heavy snow and my S-I-l said it was heart attach snow.

AMAZING snowfall rates last night. we had to have 1 to 2 inches an hour for a good part of the night. it started about 12:30 and ran until about 7:00 or so.

Are the models not handling the 2 lows this weekend? Still lots of time for things to change and see if the models can get a handle on these 2 systems. See where this storm is at Friday.
