Excited for another poster in this part of the city, particularly one with a wunderground station.

Thanks!  Been a lurker since the Eastern WX days, and though I don't know as much as some on here, I'll gladly contribute by providing quality weather data!  I've had the station running for 13 months now, and gotten some great data, though I think my wind readings might be a tad on the low side (possibly a site placement issue, or maybe all my wind forecasts just bust low!).

Temps still holding at 29.7, dp going down again, back at 23.4.

Also going down is this 8% abv beer....a tad too quickly and smoothly :)

DC Peeps: Gotta move north, northwest, higher elevation with the "new normal"

Notice critical freezing temps: DC is just a skoch warm. Maybe some 'mixed" at the start.

That seems way off, considering most of us are below or at freezing and we still have 2-4 degrees to potentially drop. I think we'll have a good sheet of ice on sidewalks.

Wes.. I think you're good overall. The changes are going to mainly be to give some more people minor ice amounts. Perhaps better without the note to maybe hedge low but whateva.. close enough.

There may not be much dropping with warm air advection aloft all night.  The "freezing rain" that falls will

progressively warm with or without cold air damming at the surface.  Anyhow, based upon the maps

posted, DC isn't getting in on much cold air damming.

Then call it a weenie gut feeling. The beltway will have a thin sheet of ice at sunset.

Parkville is the center of the universe. How'd you end up there?

SUMMARY...FREEZING RAIN WILL DEVELOP EAST OF THE APPALACHIANS INTO
THE NRN DELMARVA OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS. RAIN RATES WILL LIKELY
EXCEED 0.05 IN/HR. SLEET WILL BE COMMON ACROSS SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF
PA THROUGH MIDNIGHT.

DISCUSSION...MATURING WARM CONVEYOR WITH AN EXPANSIVE ZONE OF
PRECIPITATION IS SPREADING ACROSS THE OH/TN VALLEY AND WILL SOON
SPREAD ACROSS HIGHER TERRAIN OF WRN PA/WV INTO WRN VA/MD AREA.
ADDITIONALLY...WARM ADVECTION ACROSS THE DELMARVA APPEARS TO BE
PRIMARILY RESPONSIBLE FOR RECENT RASH OF SHOWERS THAT HAVE DEVELOPED
ACROSS THIS REGION. WEDGE OF COOL AIR WEST OF THE BLUE RIDGE IS
SEVERAL DEGREES BELOW FREEZING AT 02Z AND IS LIKELY ON THE ORDER OF
1KM DEEP. THIS WILL GRADUALLY SHALLOW WITH TIME BUT SHOULD NOT WARM
ABOVE FREEZING IN MANY PLACES PRIOR TO 06Z.

FARTHER NORTH...INITIAL PRECIPITATION WILL FALL IN THE FORM OF
SLEET...OR PERHAPS EVEN SOME SNOW...ACROSS SRN PA. WITH TIME MUCH
WARMER TEMPERATURES AROUND 2KM WILL SPREAD ATOP COOL BOUNDARY LAYER
RESULTING IN SUFFICIENT MELTING FOR A SWITCH TO FREEZING RAIN AFTER
06Z. PRECIPITATION RATES WILL INCREASE TO NEAR 0.10 INCH PER HOUR
IN PLACES AS WARM ADVECTION CREATES A FAVORABLE PROFILE FOR
SIGNIFICANT ICING. WBZ LEVELS REMAIN BELOW FREEZING ALONG THE I-95
CORRIDOR FROM DC THROUGH BWI TO PHL. WHILE WARMING WILL EVENTUALLY
DRIVE SFC TEMPERATURES ABOVE FREEZING...THIS MAY NOT OCCUR UNTIL
AFTER 10Z.
