Hoosier
Yeah but let's not wait until May this year. Yeah even I don't want that. Usually I'm ready for spring by March but may have to push that back a bit just this year.

Geos
T- 27 days. Give me normal March snowfall in the beginning of the month and then warm it up. I sure hope there isn't snow cover 23 out of 31 days next month! Been seeing some guidance suggesting a mild April and May. It was even mentioned by a few TV mets. Chicago WX
Spring can wait. I want to blow my all-time seasonal snowfall record out of the water. March 2013 repeat. Let's bury the record. Then on April 1...full on spring!
Harry
We get this Nina type pattern ( trough west/se ridging via -PNA ) the models are showing and even the euro weeklies to some degree i think we may soon see some spring storms firing up in the south/TN valley before this month closes at the very least. Something to watch for.

ukrocks
If we hit the four inch mark with this storm, and cash in on next weekend's storm, I say bring on spring. My average highs will be in the mid 50's by the time the month ends. Last spring was miserable with temperatures in the upper 30's with rainfall until late month. There were multiple days in March where we didn't hit freezing. I'd rather not see that, bring on warmth, and the severe weather.
Stebo
After almost crashing several times with the last storm, I am all for spring to come.
buckeye
Mid Feb is when I start seeking the torch. If we can score one of the two this week, I'll be ready next week to move on. Of course I have no say where this train decides to stop.
IWXwx
The end of met winter, March 1st, is my cutoff date. After the winter we've had, I would love to see an abrupt pattern change and spring into Morch.

If any winter is primed for that, this is the one. They're like a deep south snowfall, 12 and gone in 24.

buckeye
Lol...yep, we got our record storm if 20" in 2008 and it was literally all gone within a week. Actually I thought the staying power of that one was pretty good for March...if you recall it got really cold for a good week afterwards and it didn't really take a hit before that. I was actually thinking April '87, (you weren't around here), but we got 12" of snow that literally was gone by nightfall the next day lol. Geos
Both March 2008 and March 2013 were wintry. Difference between the two was that last March the snow carried mostly over from February. Dense snow and below normal temps held it in place long. March 2008 it was just plain snowy with not as many snow cover days here. Edit: Would love for this March to host at least 10 days of 50s and 4 days of 60s.
daddylonglegs
I want spring time warmth, but not 2012... don't care if we get snow or not. I've had enough of that by March 1st. March 2010 was my favorite...had 5 days in a row in the middle of that month in the low to mid 60Fs... March 2011 never hit 60F March 2012 blowtorch--too much of a good thing March 2013--epic fail...one day hit exactly 50F... torture. no spring... game over If we can string together a few days in the 60Fs, i'll be happy
stormtrackertf
I wouldn't mind a nice warm March but nothing will ever beat 2012 unless Global Warming really pans out ( ) so if we get yet another snowy month, I'd be cool with that too.
