Staged
Woke up at 5 in Inwood to just rain, left the house at 6:15 with 2" on the ground.81 was a mess, and Berryville was where it changed over to sleet. Arrived in Leesburg to just rain. Of coarse all my plow contracts are in leesburg. This sucks.
Fozz
that would be a bad bust for the forecast!! Yes but none of us should be surprised since this was an extremely marginal situation to begin with. When I saw last night's HRRR and RAP, I knew the writing was on the wall. needbiggerboat
Everyone needs to have patients. Once that first inch of warmed ground cools down, the second cold inch and under will shoot off enough coldness to change the falling unfrozen rain to something else. Now I can't promise what it will be, but you can expect some type of sleet or snow after the cold ground underneath teh warm ground works it's magic.
