Gaston county's getting rocked with heavy rain and a lot of lightning to go with it too!  Haven't seen CG bolts in a long while (VERY bright ones too), and the thunder's downright loud with constant rumbling.  Temp's at 52°.

Edit (3:20AM): Well, this storm was so powerful that it managed to ramp up the rain FOUR times after seemingly letting up and knocked the power out twice with the increase in lightning activity.  Not to mention that the lightning has gotten far too close too many times near my neighborhood, making it impossible to even go to sleep.  Has to be one of the most electrically powerful storms I've ever seen on a night like this!

If snow stays on the ground 7 days, then it's waiting for another snow.  Add in the thunder and any blackbirds you see and we have the ingredients coming together for a big snowstorm next week.

1st Witch:

Thrice the brinded cat hath mew'd.

2nd Witch:

Thrice and once, the hedge-pig whin'd.

3rd Witch

Harpier cries:—'tis time! 'tis time!

1st Witch:

Round about the cauldron go:

In the poisoned entrails throw.

Toad, that under cold stone

Days and nights has thirty-one

Sweated venom sleeping got,

Boil thou first in the charmed pot.

All:

Double,double toil and trouble;

Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

2nd Witch:

Fillet of a fenny snake,

In the cauldron boil and bake;

Eye of newt and toe of frog,

Wool of bat and tongue of dog,

Adder's fork and blindworm's sting,

Lizard's leg and howlet's wing.

For charm of powerful trouble,

Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

All:

Double,double toil and trouble;

Fire burn and couldron bubble.

3rd Witch:

Scale of dragon, tooth of wolf,

Witch's mummy, maw and gulf

Of the ravin'd salt-sea shark,

Root of hemlock digg'd in the dark,

Liver of blaspheming Jew;

Gall of goat; and slips of yew

Sliver'd in the moon's eclipse;

Nose of Turk, and Tartar's lips;

Finger of birth-strangled babe

Ditch-deliver'd by a drab,-

Make the gruel thick and slab:

Add thereto a tiger's chaudron,

For ingredients of our cauldron.

All:

Double,double toil and trouble,

Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

2nd Witch:

Cool it with a baboon's blood,

Then the charm is firm and good.

1.23" rainfall total from the very early morning strong thunderstorm that came through here.  While I didn't enjoy the inconveniences that the storm caused me (Was working on a video through Sony Vegas Pro 10 when it hit), I have to admit that a part of me enjoyed the epicness of the lightning that it displayed.

The weather out here couldn't possibly feel any better.  68° with a light breeze so the low 70s should easily be doable here for today's highs.  Feels just like the way it does during April when Spring's really getting underway.  A great day to head out and do some bike riding around town. ^_^

STRONGLY AGREE.

[/DT] :lol:

I've still a got a little snow hanging around, but it's almost all gone now, even in the fully shaded areas. :(

The snow piles from the driveway should be around for awhile, though, and the nasty snow piles in parking lots might be around for at least a few weeks.
