.17 and 79 at KSAV yesterday.  I wish the warmth would stop teasing us like that; we get one day at a time and then it disappears for a week.  Almost asked the boss what the job charge is for "it's too nice a day to be inside".

Had Mod/Heavy rain for a couple hours, (since around 9am)..   About 11AM a few Big Wet Sloppy flakes were/starting  coming  down w/the Heavy/Moderate rain(s), that were happening, (*Evaporational*   cooling? or pulling cold down from above the 850 MB Height?))),,,, Mostly inland around Castle Hayne;   were I was for a couple hours this AM..

Rain has Now backed off, Showers off the Coast "currently", Temps are around 42;

Dew Point 42 °F , Winds are 
12.6 mph from WNW
Wind Gust
15.8 mph
Water temps, (Ocean),, Mid/upper 40's 

 ... As what this Morning (33~35 degrees)QPF was dropping Heavy enough to see a **FEW** fat Sloppy flakes.. about 32~35 dgress when the "event" happened.. Lots of Heavy radar returns very Early this Morning, though QPF didn't make it to the Surface until 9AM or so....

Any chance of snow removed from late tonight. Roads are water covered in many spots but not even a black ice statement. Temps are gong to remain above freezing. This is a pretty amazing turn around in temps considering the snow cover.  Of course that will be gone tomorrow afternoon, and then spring temps start knocking on the door.  Starting Tues., 62, 67, 69, 69.
