Currently in the upper 30s with the CAD in control. Big question for tomorrow is where does the wedge break down? RAH is thinking there is a chance many never get out of it before the cold front passes. This would cause temps to stay in the 40s compared with 60s if your on the warm side.

TONIGHT: THE BULK OF THE MEASURABLE LIGHT RAIN WILL END FROM SOUTH
TO NORTH ACROSS THE PIEDMONT DURING THE EVENING...BUT PERIODS OF
DRIZZLE WILL LINGER THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT AS THE SATURATED HYBRID CAD
LAYER LOWERS. AREAS OF FOG WILL ALSO BE PROBABLE...SOME LOCALLY
DENSE WEDNESDAY MORNING...AS TEMPERATURES SETTLE INTO THE MIDDLE TO
UPPER 30S - A SMALL DIURNAL RANGE OF JUST 2-5 DEGREES FROM EARLIER
HIGHS. THE STRENGTH OF THE LOW LEVEL INVERSION WILL UNDOUBTEDLY
ENSURE THE WARM FRONT WILL HOLD TO OUR SOUTH AND EAST...DESPITE WHAT
THE NWP GUIDANCE (ESPECIALLY THE GFS) SUGGESTS. IN FACT...IT IS
QUITE PROBABLE THAT THIS WARM FRONT WILL NEVER GET INTO CENTRAL NC
EVEN ON WED...B
UT MORE ON THAT BELOW. -MWS

CAD is holding strong across the piedmont and even into the coastal plain. RAH has dropped the highs for the RDU area to the mid 50s and stated there may be some upper 40s for far NE sections. At one point yesterday it was looking like mid 60s to near 70. Gota love the CAD...

Yeah, GSO's forecasted high was around 60, but at 1 PM it is still only 44 with continuing mist and fog.
