Newport had around 4 inches near the southern tip of the island to 5 plus just north of downtown. Other than the amwx crew who nailed this event (Ginxy, Rev,Messenger,James) Barry Burbank did the best job on the tv side. Earthlight did a great job in the NYC thread as did Upton which was absolutely masterful during this storm.  The three Providence local tv affiliates did a poor job forecasting this storm specifically on Sunday evening.

Turn to 10 seems to do the best job here locally.   I usually just rely on radar trends for these kind of short-fuse events.  It was obvious this morning that coastal SNE would get dumped on based on radar and upstream obs/ snowfall reports.   Providence had maybe 2.5" when I left work at 6pm, totals definitely increase the further South.
