wxmanmitch
Moderate snow falling here with decent snow growth under that band. Probably around an inch of new snow so far. Back edge is very slowly drifting SE, but it will take a little while to get here.
ineedsnow
will probably end up with about 3 here when all is done yesterday we were suppose to get none today ill take it The forecasters have had a tremendous winter season and I've said as much. But this one was stubbornly bad. Stubborn being the operative word.
Randy4Confluence
SN- with a CT'ing that's beginning to accumulate on the pavement. If I get .5 inches on the pavement, I'll attempt a triple axel jump in my parking lot in a thong and post it on YouTube. Enjoyinga nice appetizer before showtime Wed. KartAnimal29
I can still see the top of the grass at my house. I'd say this system didn't come as far north as what the models where showing
Clinch Leatherwood
will probably end up with about 3 here when all is done yesterday we were suppose to get none today ill take it This just seemed stubborn to me, there was about 100% model support. It apparently caught many of the local dpws totally off guard as they are just now getting out onto the roads.
ineedsnow
grass is covered here and im further north then you I can still see the top of the grass at my house. CoastalWx
QPF near NYC is close to 1". Funny that euro will come best to verifying there it appears, but perhaps too wet here.

As it is now, our school system is going to release kids at the end of the school day onto buses right into the heaviest snow, based on upstream radar. I'm even contemplating going to pick my kids up. Hopefully nobody gets hurt this afternoon. We had enough notice on this storm. It was poor job on this one--plain and simple! BuildingScienceWx
Working on 5" here in Hamden, CT. Poor snow growth currently. Left North Conway early this morning and it worked out pretty well, only 4.5 hours. Radar upstream looking better..

Clinch Leatherwood
They just updated the map in the last 10min. lol. 4-6 around the air base is reasonable. They had 3" when I was over there not long ago. HRRR IMO wasn't great up here and is probably still pushing good snows too far north, RAP was probably better and does show another nice pulse moving through. That would be the flank of heavier returns moving up south of Block...will be close to whether they clip me or run over the Cape. nice event. I totally agree. Like I said I don't understand the stubborn nature on this one. It took the decision out of the hands of planners and parents. A blanket 1-3 or 2-4 was all that was needed. Better tto adjust down an inch than have to adjust up by 4-6x in some cases.

Clinch Leatherwood
Nice weenie band forming from ENY into Litchfield Cty heading twds HFD RAP hints at a pretty nasty band forming and that appears to be trying to get started as it stretches up from the area south of CT. Ginx snewx
One of the prettier storms for sure. Cleaned off the wetter stuff, heavy. Visibility has remained low even in lighter snow, stuff is accumulating nicely.
