I'm not posting in there unless one of these three things happen:

1) They are getting hit hard as well

2) I'm home giving an observation instead of in Pa

3) Reporting a road condition

That's about it. I like Ian and Randy because they know it's weather and you can't control what it does, but some people do get way too hurt about it. If you live in DC, you should never expect snow. Ian mentions that all the time. If you are in Baltimore, that's different. I know my city does work out a bit more favorable for snow especially away from beltway. It can be so frustrating at times. There are a lot of guys I like on that board, but some get on my last nerve. Bob Chill, HM when he pops in, Ian for his analysis and humor, Randy for the same as Ian, Ravensrule for his humor, Phineas for his humor, and I could go on, these guys are my favs. I like this board because there are no complainers and if anyone has a right to complain, these guys do over the last 5 years in a snow type area watching bombs to the south, east and North of them. They will cash in this week and I will enjoy watching them post about it.

Back to the weather, it's still coming down great here. I see 6-8" final totals easy. Enjoy your snow Mapgirl

i love the MA forum, but also know that some cannot handle getting nothing very well. I know when to pick my battles.

and thanks, need to measure soon. Enjoy it up there too! :)

I post them using http://postimage.org. You can choose the size and it works quickly. I use it exclusively for my photos here.

hey, seriously... probably best to stop posting in the MA forum. if enough people b**ch about it, randy or ian may do something

I hear you!  Everyone wants something different from the forum.  I like weather news etc., and post for that purpose.  I am curious to see what is going on all around me, and share my observations of "Our Storm".  We are on the white side, and the people on the wet side have had a rough year so I can understand the frustration.  I am actually frustrated by this storm because if the gradient nature.  It has screwed me with work, my wife with work, and it sucks.  Region wide events close the region, this just creates problems.  What I post is ground truth of the models etc and that is why I do it, but some people are unreasonable and get testy.

When you show people in a region outside where you live, who've been getting screwed storm after storm, that you've had 5-7" of snow, replete with deck and backyard pics, and then complain about it for any reason, people will get pissed off at you. It doesn't matter whether the reasons are legitimate, it is down right tone-deaf to complain to people who've seen hours and hours of 35 degree rain that you can't get to work because you're getting buried. Personally I don't have a problem with it since I've already seen a few good storms, but it's a totally different story for the DC crowd, and they're the ones who dominate that forum for the most part.
