mappy
hey, I-83 Blizzard... word to the wise, probably not best to post your obs in the MA forum today, especially if you are at home in PA. Things are a bit testy down there and you seem like a good guy. Id hate for you to have your head ripped off by those with unrealistic expectations. psuhoffman
The weekend system had ku potential and I love the setup and gefs plus eps are as bullish as ever for that range but its still just potential 6 days out. They are setting people up for a letdown and making forecasters look bad if it doesn't happen

The wed system is going north so this was their only chance this week in a pattern many are excited for. This is likely going to be a great week just north of them but its a gradient pattern and they ended up just on the wrong side of the screwed line. Hope this weekend gets them into it. MillvilleWx
its awesome out right now, really coming down. i may post my obs up here all day... I know I would. I was about to post something earlier, but decided against it as I was typing lol. Meddler has Millersville at 2" already and still coming down pretty good. Radar returns blossoming out west. Good times
heavy_wx
Radar upstream of State College looks decent. We are right on the northern edge of the poleward-sloped frontogenetic circulation where there is some weaker lift. This circulation is supported by the upper-levels, which place much of PA in the right entrance region of the 250 mb jet streak.

EasternUSWX
Measured 2" about 20 mins ago. 32.7 degrees with heavy snow. Think we can reach 6" as it should snow pretty good for the next 4hours.
NortheastPAWx
Well, the snow is currently pretty poor-looking here...as the rich get richer, us northerners will have to place our chips on Wednesday...and I just hate doing that for this setup. EasternUSWX
This heavy wet snow shouldn't melt much off the trees, add concern to weight issue once ice starts Tuesday night.

showmethesnow
Sitting at 2 inches here with the temps just a hair over 32. Flakes are getting smaller compared to the cement we had coming down the last hour and half. Probably looking at rates of .75-1 inch at this time. Vogan
First unoficial measurement of 2.75" here in Norlanco. We changed over around 5am from the heavy sleet. That puts us on 1"/hour rates. Nothing better than heavy daytime snow!
