Santa Clause
DOn't worry, I'll be joining you in the complaint thread tomorrow when the NAM turns out to be too wet as usual. And then again Wednesday when we get 3" of snow lol. This is NOT our winter.
AllWeather
Yupp. Conditionally unstable around 750mb according to this sounding. Going to be ripping somewhere tomorrow morning.

Eskimo Joe
The NAM relies on it actually being BEOW freezing. With most locations sitting in the mid 40s and dew points well above freezing, it leads the cautious forecaster in me to disregard this fantasy run. Still, I would happily eat crow to see this scenario unfold, especially if this were to be further south in DC Metro.

pawatch
And then again Wednesday when we get 3" of snow lol. This is NOT our winter. It will be 3" to add to the yearly total. It could be worse.
Mallow
So precipitation! Wow! Hope it's just a touch further north, for Wmspt's sake.
JamieOber
Jumped to 39.4 here. At 33.2 here. Been falling slowly since 3:30. Noticed that it's below freezing just to my west.
whiteout
I guess CTP doesn't believe the model data over the last 12 hours as they still have Cumberland county in a 3-5" advisory. Seems everything I'm seeing says we are getting at least 6". Why no warning?

If I may ask Jamie - what were models looking like for UNV area leading up to the 2/5/10 surprise?
Mallow
Hmmm... no WWA even up here... okay, here's the challenge to the WxGods: give us WSW-criteria snows that start 6 hours after we don't even have a WWA up.

Mallow
It's not done either. Ya, as excited as some of the recent clown runs have been, it's still probably best to expect 1-3 inches here in State College. Radar does look good, though, so that's a plus.
