 Well done, sir. Very well done indeed.

Please allow me to add a few short lines....

A Brick Tamland Winter

It was a brisk Winter's night with snow falling down

And six inches already lay on the ground.

A beautiful site but to Brick's dismay,

It was over 500 miles away.

Why can't it snow here? This is absurd!

The models, they showed it, or so I've heard.

You can't trust the models to ever be right

The excitement for snow was just last night.

I bought bread and milk because everyone said

"It's going to snow. Buy milk and bread!"

And now it's all gone. Seems like it's changed.

Seems like it always turns into rain.

How can it do this? How can this be?

Seems we can't trust these models at all, can we?

This pattern stinks and is sure getting old.

If it's not gonna snow, then it shouldn't be cold.

Who cares about nothing but cold and dry.

I can ball when it's warm, or at least I can try.

Kudos!!  :)

I might as well go all in.

The Legend of Brick

Listen my children, gather round quick,

and I'll tell you the story of a nerd named Brick.

Back in '14 a snowstorm was due,

no one seemed to know what to do.

Then out of the night a figure appeared,

some people laughed, others just sneered.

There sitting atop the big noble steed,

Brick was responding to his neighbors need.

He yelled, "To the stores, you must go right now,

the snow will be too deep, even to plow."

"You need more supplies, your kids must be fed,

so clean out the stores of all milk and bread."

Then his cell beeped and Brick took a look,

his face got all ashen, his whole body shook.

They all heard him say, as he rode out of sight,

"The models have changed, forget about tonight."

Bravo.  Well Played.... well played.

From Brad Panovich:

If you missed our discussion tonight with Dr Ryan Maue about weather models, long range forecast, wish casting and much more. Here's the complete show record on Youtube

Ha, Spencer Adkins!  I used to live in his local area under WOWK 13 when I lived in WV from 2003-2007.  Funny.  Thanks for the post, BTW.

Yet another precip event starting to fall apart. The drought will be coming on soon for the I-85 corridor in NC and SC if these events keep drying up.

Why don't we wait for another model run or two to come in before we start throwing in the towel?  Did you miss the 12z Euro's 1.5-2.5" QPF across the I-85 corridor?

This one wont be back. It'll be flurries or sprinkles at best.

Seriously - cut the s***. It was old 2 weeks ago when you were wrong. Now it's just awkward.

Well, Brother Goofy was a big change for wave #2. But it still counts as a hit due to wave #1. I bet lots of people will now be staying up for Brother Doc now. Also, what might Uncle Crazy show?

I would encourage people to not do that.  It's going to be a long week of tracking...this is a marathon not a sprint.  Get some sleep.  The mix of wishcasting with doom and gloom is bad enough already.  I'm not sure we can handle sleep deprivation added into the mix.

Not a lot of chatter about the goofy!? It could have been alot worse! I'll take the overrunning and be happy. Canadian looks great, eh !

I just posted the crazy uncle.  It mostly thinks the GFS is on crack (at least for now, haha).

EDIT: Oh, no, you weren't a member when Cold Rain gave his Cold Rain Guarantee for the 2010 Christmas/Boxing Day Snowstorm, haha.
