Congrats.  My wife makes a really tasty version with beans so which might not classify it as chili in Texas.

I make mine with my home-ground powder, chuck, and a small amount of black beans. But some people don't think it tastes like chili because they're used to chili made with store-bought chili powder.

Only in northern Virginia can you get 11 inches of snow, and then 2 days later it torches out at 57 degrees with a light southwest wind.

We live in a very special place.

Never mind half the laws of physics. Nature never lets facts get in her way when it comes to melting my precious snow with a 57 degree torch. Never mind surface albedo. Never mind 9 inches of heavy wet snow on the ground. Never mind a frigid ground. Never mind its mid Feb right after a major snow. Never mind the fact that I waited four long years for this, only to have 57 degree weather burn it to death. Never mind the forecasters called for 42 degrees.

I figured I could handle that. It hit 42 degrees alright. It torched nearly to frackin' 60.

This is the only place in the world, after poor Sochi (where it has been 59 degrees right in the middle of the Winter Olympics) where I can go outside and soak my shoes in mashed potatoes consistency slop and shovel snow with no coat in mid fvckin February and be sweating and have to mop my brow with a towel like its mid effin' August.

Thanks to todays heatwave, I get to look upon areas of bare ground ALREADY, only two days after we got 11 inches of fresh snow.

THIS is why this area I live in is referred to as the TROPICAL fall line.

I waited four long years, only to have my precious snow blasted by a relentless 57 degree sun. Not one damn cloud in the sky.

It's 9pm at night and its STILL 43 degrees. The snow is STILL melting. Damn

I hate northern Virginia. I'm serving a life sentence here. I will never get out.

I don't know how our neighborhood did it, but after not getting plowed for 7 days back in 2010, we now seem to be as important as a primary road.  Plows were by at least 6 times during the storm.  I know it sounds trite to those that are stuck, but I started getting pissed that they kept on blocking in the end of my driveway with the snow/ice boulders at the end.
