SLPressure
Well done, Scuddz! Your chairs look like they're enjoying their fort - after some initial skepticism. Yay - locations! Isn't it like the power coming back on after a prolonged outage? Hallelujah! Yesss!!! Sorry. Got carried away.
nj2va
Scuddz...very nicely done! The snow was perfect for that.
WxUSAF
I'm no engineer... awesome I let the kids handle the fort making today. Bigger kids made 2 huge piles in neighbor's yards and dug tunnels through them then they made another fort in the public area.
nj2va
I'm not a fed but we generally follow OPM guidance, but I highly doubt OPM will close tomorrow. I would imagine its a delay+liberal leave. But one can never predict OPM...they seem to do the opposite of what one would expect.

snowfan
Unless we blow torch with heavy rain, there should be some nice parking lot snow piles well into March.
mappy
Unless we blow torch with heavy rain, there should be some nice parking lot snow piles well into March. I have 5-6ft high piles around the driveway. Helps when the neighbor has a plow and can do all the heavy driveway clearing. Still took 3hrs to clear the driveway and the cars between shoveling and plowing

CheesyPoofs
This storm was sick, and I could definitely use a few days break to recharge the batteries (which we will get). But lets not root for Spring too quickly fellow snow lovers -- it's only February 13th. Lets not forget the snow hell that was the last 3 years. In Feb 2010 people were saying "I'm done with winter until next season!" Then came 3 seasons of misery that included disasters such as Boxing Day 2010 and 3/6/13. Spring will come in good time, but you have to take all the snow you can get while you can. Unless you are mapgirl or live in Philly and have 186" on the season. Of course by mid March I'd love some 60's and sun.

Bodhi Cove
What phrase comes after "I'm so done" in regards to being tired of something? Shoulder annoyed - check Sore back - check Huge BGE bill - check Sinus problems - check And now, a frozen mountain of ice, 6 inches from the front quarter panel of my Tucson. (I live at the end of a straight, down sloping, narrow, dead end street.) There is indeed a fine line between love and hate. I hate winter at this point, yet I'll be yearning for it come August... KT, how's your shoulder? No response will imply that you poked the grizzly bear, and are kicking yourself for doing so. That snow was like moving concrete. My cures for the top three listed items is booze. And when my sinuses act up I drill holes into my head. WxUSAF
Huge BGE bill - check The one we just got was crazy. Also…shoveling 2-3" of frozen chunky mashed potatoes is naso fun.
mappy
Nancy, not too bad actually. I didn't do all the shoveling, the hubby helped. On a different note: fun game this morning, throwing a dog toy into the sea of white and watching the dogs have to leap through 21" to get it. midatlanticweather
PSSD has set in! Post Snow Storm Depression - sadly I feel it coming on as I see the end of the snow line approaching on radar ... I find predicting and watching the storm coming, watching it fall and seeing pile up more exciting than when it is on the ground! I would love one more KU this year!!
