Unrelated but I have passed your beloved Parkton a few times in recent weeks coming and going to see the girlfriend - really is worlds different climo than down here. Definitely a snow lovers move on your part! Meh, didn't move north strictly for snow. Honestly, it never really crossed our minds. But the school system is great, we found a nice house with a sweet backyard/pool and yes, snow wise we have done well. All in all, we are very happy with our decision.
