ravensrule Posted February 11, 2014 Share Posted February 11, 2014 That's the top of arapahoe basin. My old stomping grounds. The first mountain is independence. Just beyond is keystone resort. Far distance is breckenridge. We skied all over independence backcountry. There was gate access from keystone resort and a 90 minute hike and powder paradise. Arapahoe basin just went through a major storm cycle. Reminiscent of Jan 96 but later this year. Jan 96 was skiing month of my entire life. 150" in 21 days. It's never enough. I could spend a season @ Mt Baker in the cascades and still be sad when the last flakes fall. Such a weird quirk. WTF is wrong with us? With that, I like the Bullzeye to my east at this time! I'm with ya. Not missing the best storm in 4 years because I have HW to do!
