Geos
You guys in northern IL had mentioned that you only saw ice on pavement during that event a couple weeks ago, but I'm wondering if other objects may still accrete in areas where temps barely poke above freezing. Little late - No only the surfaces in contact with the ground. Even the snow that was above the ground was melting.

WestCoaster
This is going to be such a slushy mess. 3 weeks of dry, arctic cold and the biggest system we get is a slush storm! Tough luck.
michsnowfreak
Interesting...the GEM is a bit south with more snow for southern areas than the RGEM. Still a changeover but not as much. Though the two models were one in the same?

Hoosier
Hmm, 16z RAP has snow here through 9z or 10z. That would be a tad longer than NAM/GFS suggest.

Harry Perry
GRR is going with a WWA for the entire area with the potential of 3-5" local amounts of 6" and mainly mix southeast of 96 and 69. They are leaving the door open for a one to two county wide area for a low-end WSW for local 7" amounts.

blue60007
12z Euro looks like a nudge south. Yep. Heaviest QPF and 32F sfc line around these parts further south by about a county.
Powerball
I will admit, that 12z NMM and ARW does make me feel a little better (any mixing happens outside the heavier precipitation, and even shows what looks to be thundersnow). Shows between 0.75" and 1.50" of QPF for everyone. 12z UKMET is also nice. They're still outlierish though.

DAFF
A 100 mile shift south will make my job a lot easier. We have way to much snow in the ditches to accept any rain, considering the bottom sections of them are glacier snow and mostly ice from the last melt down. Interested in the next run to see if the trend continues or just a tease.
