Chicago Storm
The weenie in me would really like to see the radar back near the MO/IA/IL border start filling in. Either way, the next hour or two looks fun enough. Solid returns all the way back towards that area...With more in N-C. MO. We're good.
KeenerWx
The race is on to see how much freezing/frozen we can get before it switches to rain. I'm thinking ~2" of snow, 0.1-0.2" zr/ip, 0.1-0.3" rain. Good luck, all!

A-L-E-K
Agreed. But progressive is the way to go...it seems. Thought LOT did a nice job walking the totals down with solid reasoning. Concise, clear, detailed. LOT has been fine totally not bashing. I've accepted the big 7-9" totals aren't happening. The biggest let down is going to be missing out on a period of +SN with monster aggregate flakes

IWXwx
glad at least one other poster is up during the best part of the storm we've been tracking all week. I'm awake and watching from the sidelines. Eh, you're still good for a few inches, while I'm awaiting my zr, ip, and rain mix.

Baum
2.0" here thus far. Ironically, that was about the expected totals for this area by daybreak before heavier snow arrived. I'm guessing 5" totals still on track.

snowstormcanuck
Best pressure falls just SE of STL. Doesn't look like the track of the slp is too far off from the model consensus attm.

A-L-E-K
IDK, radar looks terrible IMO. This is definitely going to be an under performer relative to the 12z guidance and the 6-10 mentioned in the warning yesterday
Gilbertfly
higher PWAT's on the move north....let's see if that beefs up the radar a bit over the next hour or so
Chitown Storm
yeah I agree. Looks like it's going to under perform relative to the 6-10" forecast. Almost seems like the heavy band north of STL into C. IL is eating up some of the energy that otherwise might make it more north. Just an observation based on radar.
