hosj III
Monday looks a lot more like 12-10-13 than 1-26-11. IMHO, 2-5 inches of slush is best case scenario.

SomeguyfromTakomaPark
SREF is ok..I worry about the surface for me if we aren't getting an absolute pasting Same thing, out of the last 3 events like this the only one we scored in DC was Jan 2011, and those were some incredible rates. The last 2 looked roughly like this at similar leads. But I guess one thing we have going for us is that it's early feb and not early december or march. Yeoman
wxbell being uber slow so not really sure what the sfc is like. we might get 20 minutes of zr or something. Close enough to Atlanta to close down their schools, and Loudoun of course.

usedtobe
0.35 - ish for all of dc metro Unfortunately, the 2 m temps are on the warm side. The 850s look OK. Might be OK for the usual suspects but for us, we might have to be happy just seeing flakes unless things trend colder.

usedtobe
In NAM we trust. Do you think that the temps are likely to trend colder over the next day or so? I don't know, I think they are likely to be a problem for the city even if it does trend a little colder unless rates compensate.
olafminesaw
NAM @24 looks better extrapolating 48 hours before an event starts is useless. Notice that the people that know a lot on this forum don't attempt it.

I am not extrapolating... I am comparing the panel 24 on the 18z to panel 30 on the 12z.
