HIPPYVALLEY
Ha! All you guys were waiting for the NWS to bring the lines up north more and they brought them Down! I'm almost into the 10-14 now. Ray still think's I'm getting 6". I don't know about the BOX map... Yeah, I have no doubts about the BOX mets skills (considering I have none) but we'll see how the bump S works out. Clinch Leatherwood
Three schools and WNEC have closed already. Schools should really close up shop everywhere. Tell parents now so they can prepare by drinking lots of wine tonight.
TauntonBlizzard2013
Eric fisher (channel 4) very bullish for all. Has 6-12 for everyone away from immediate coast. With 12+ for a large area as well. Bouchard is as well, but not to that extent. Just throwing it out there

JC-CT
Schools should really close up shop everywhere. Tell parents now so they can prepare by drinking lots of wine tonight. Parents shouldn't wait for the schools to tell them, start preparing now. That's what responsible parents do. Is there any real risk of impactful freezing rain in CT or are we just talking pingers? RUNNAWAYICEBERG
Just wondering down here in the Naugatuck Valley will we have to worry about an icing event? Sent from my iPhone Certainly in the cards. If its .25" ice on top of 4-6" of snow, not that concerning. But if we zr earlier and have .50" of it after 2" of snow, its trouble.... Esp rte 8 corridor. BuildingScienceWx
Check out the NE regional radar on the NWS page (loop). WTH is that radar echo that looks like a commit streaking from Maine to PA? What would cause that??

wxsniss
Pretty inconsistent media hype / public awareness this winter... compare this to the 1/22/14 dud when at this time 1/21/14, Logan flights were already canceled, Boston parking ban was announced, most schools were closed, universities had delayed openings in anticipation of an early AM storm.... this storm clearly will have a much bigger impact than that one. Snowciopath
Ha, what a terrible map by WFSB... BDR getting the same amount as BOS? Yeah don't think so, I think they got the wrong storm.

It's been a weird year. Yesterdays event they didn't care about either. To me this is a clear cut...close the schools. But yet nobody has. Anyway models would argue that KTAN is dead on for us with accums but I still hedge lower on this one here. We seem to have issues with SE type flows at times...best precip shoots W&NW of here then we wait for the death band with the flip to come through...
