EastCoast NPZ
I lived in the City forever. When I had to move to the north burbs, I made sure I found a building lot on the highest hill available. In the 7 years I lived there the contrast is amazing just a short ride up I 83. The PA line is only 27.5 miles up I 83 from Baltimore City. We have tons of marginal events here and the few extra feet in elevation that north Carroll, Baltimore, and extreme southern York Counties have almost makes these areas another climo. It pays to live in the highlands in these parts if you like snow. worst poem ever.

Heisy
Here are 3 things I've done in my life that show how sick I am when it comes to snow (ji may relate) 1) I went through some teen angst partially because of family's divorce, but because of some other reasons. However, I fell into a big depression after March 2001 bust. I was only 14 at the time, just starting to look at computer models & wx forums. I had told all my friends about this huge blizzard coming. I remember reading DT, JB, Ji, Noreaster on wright weather. Good times....When it ended up busting my friends made fun of me for it LOL.... My family forced me to go to therapy. I told the therapist I was depressed because I had prayed and prayed for this big snowstorm to happen and it made me question god....LMAO I wonder if she still jokes to her coworkers about it to this day. 2) I was a pretty good basketball player in my high school days. PDII hit on a Saturday Night into Sunday. We had a basketball game on a Saturday night. This was the first big snow event since the March 01 bust/2001-02 torch fest winter so I was extremely nervous and excited. I didn't want to miss the 00z models so faked a stomach bug and went home. Still ashamed about that. 3) I had a job interview last year for a job I really wanted. Of course the interview is the night before last years February event. It would have been a part-time (have a full-time), but still I ended up not going even though I told my family and girlfriend that I did...Really messed up. I check the EURO during parties out with friends, I set my alarm for 2am to check it. I, Need, HELP.
I-83 BLIZZARD
Looking at the computer screen, Reading Wes's post about the ensemble mean, Weenies Whining about it being warm, Or no negative Nao to deliver a real storm, Out of region carpet baggers ranting about rain, Reading this nonsense it's hard to stay sane, Chilly Billy doing constant data crunch, Gives weenies hope that winter will soon punch, The 240 GFS says snow will not fly, So I begin waiting for the winter cancel from JI, Anyway you cut it weather is chaos and chance, But on American WX it's the same song and dance, Regardless I sit here with a grin, As sooner or later climo will win, Winter might be on hold, But my prediction is far from bold, Soon Sparky will clear steps in a KU with a broom, Wxtrix will attack like a rabid loon, From Baltimore, York to Dover, winter is far from OVER! I-83 BLIZZARD
Long range guidance = upper cut to chin I'm out until I'm in No need to run with the weenie mob, You need to continue to chill Bob, I don't understand all the 240 hr model fuss, Sooner or later Randy will start the bus, All this talk of being out and winter cancel is silly, Just continue to crunch the numbers Chilly Billy, Sooner or later the models will change, 240 hrs is way out of range, It's 1:00am and time to get my butt off the wicker, Take one last shot and finish the liquor, Alas HungarianTokaj is not cheap, Nevertheless it helps this weenie get to sleep., WORD

H2O
Every Fall we see the same thing People wondering what the winter will bring Will we get buried in snow? Or will we still have to mow? So weenies look for maps and analogs that might clear up the fog Whats the water temp in the Pacific? It doesn't need to be specific Snow cover in Russia Better be deeper there than in Prussia(hey, so what if it is an old reference. I needed a rhyme) Sun spots, SSWs, squirrels with fat tails Anything that noobs can use to say it won't be a fail Every day we watch the models for hope Hey, look, the 380+ GFS is dope! Ensembles say the pattern is great Look for snow on this date Yoda posts CMC maps with tons of neige Clown maps become all the rage Weenies come out of hibernation To talk ratios and accumulation 12-24" is a lock Everyone from FL to ME will rock Euro goes a little warm NAM is cold, stays true to form We need the track to move just a smidge Or many will jump off a bridge Ian goes meh and hedges He rather be chasing wedges Hoffman says there's still a chance Weenies say "yay" and start to dance Snow falls north and west Parkton already up to their chest Not a flake in DC MattieG rages at PA deck pics from SC Matt despairs, cartopper at best Days of tracking for snow that was a jest Leesburg snow measured in feet Ji already asking for a repeat Lots of wailing and gnashing for weenies south and east Another missed opportunity to join the feast Snow totals roll in, amounts up above the door That's just from one person a few miles NW of Baltimore(say what?) First storm makes people cheer I barely got enough ice to chill my beer Pattern reloads Gonna need to brine the roads DC'ers say "we are due!" But we all know it will look like poo

PrinceFrederickWx
Ian says 20 inch storms, JB says record cold, all the mets and pros made predictions that were so bold. I've said it before, I'll say it again, October Siberian snow,is total nonsense that won't give us a negative NAO. Stratospheric warming and long range models too,is just stuff that weenies look at when they're snowless and feeling blue. So say "I'm out", throw in the towel or just jump off a cliff, cause every storm this winter will be rain or be a whiff!
