Ian
Euro would be downright torchy next Thursday ahead of possible boomers on Friday. Both Euro and GFS give us like 4 days near or above 70 Tue-Fri. It'll probably end up 52 and rainy but I'm in.
Bob Chill
Euro would be downright torchy next Thursday ahead of possible boomers on Friday. It has to break eventually. My money is it ends up colder, cloudier, rainier, with a frost mixed in.
Ian
It has to break eventually. My money is it ends up colder, cloudier, rainier, with a frost mixed in. It looks pretty legit. There's cool air not too far off in PA but we can often get a string of 70s in Feb ... so pulling one in early April can't be impossible.

The progressive flow should pump some warmth for a day or 3 before fronts. 70 isn't even that much above normal soon. Like only +10 or so. We seem to do -20 better than +10 recently. Bizarro world. MN Transplant
I'm ready to call it. Winter 2013-14 went out with a record low bang on the morning of March 26th, 2014. It is survived by soggy lawns and a delayed cherry blossoming.

Ian
Lawn pesticide applications and leaf blowers going in the hood today. 50s dews and a weekend rainer seal the deal. Severe building out west too.

wxdude64
I'm counting on snow for my daughters birthday. April 27th. We can do this. My birthday too! Would be neat to have snow though! Just one day before mine! And April 28th also had DC's latest accumulating snow on record, set in 1898. Well....it's not like it has NEVER happened before, at least out this way...... Ian
It'll be interesting to see how this week plays out. I do think it will end up "warm" comparatively but on many days we're pretty close to the battlezone between true warm and cooler air. We know the advantage seems to be toward colder of late..
