stormtracker
Phasing at hr 111, shortwave is over the Texas Panhandle and confluence over New England. If the GFS holds it and the Euro keeps it this cycle, it may be time to believe. Wes and others seem to think this one is legit. I'm still nervous as always
earthlight
Wow, 123 hours the entire northern stream is phasing in big time. The surface low is well developed over Western TN.

Radders
DC snowstorm on Christmas at 135 hrs...lets see if it tugs it up the coast. H5 has a terrific look to it. Agreed....I was just looking at the H5 set up and for kicks, comparing with 1/22/05... Completely different evolution in terms of where the energy originates, but as it transpires, not too bad a comparison once you get out to 132hrs... http://www.meteo.psu.edu/~gadomski/NARR/2005/us0122.php#picture

stormtracker
Yeah, this still looks good. I'm still amazed and unnerved by how the GFS is being with this.
WxUSAF
Looks like a major snow and ice storm for the lower OH valley as well on Xmas eve.
Voyager
988 off the NJ coast at 150 hrs..huge deform from PHL to NYC This run is so good it's scary. I do wish folks wouldn't emphasize the I-95 cities quite so much, or at least mention inland areas as well. We're here too.

earthlight
Every once and a while you get those model runs that are just like weather porn--this is one of them. This is ridiculous.

Paweatherguy1
For us in western pa, the low path is about perfect at tris point. Big storm everywhere.
ezweather
If there is any consolation, look at the ridging that takes place on this run. Way better, just hope it can hold onto this idea. Also, hoping by Wednesday, its still there, and not one of these where the flow is so fast, this system becomes more flat and doesn't do anything. Ridingtime
Snow ratios should be fantastic too. Notice how cold it is?
Atlas
This looks like a hybrid miller A- Miller B on the GFS. Looks like at around 138-144 the low reforms, thats why it can be scary for people in DC if the redeveloping happens too late for them. This is just based off GFS of course though
Midlo Snow Maker
this could throw a monkey wrench into it
