Toronto4
lol, I was including that. 13 days in January + 7 days in March. After March 7th only 0.2" fell in Toronto the rest of the month. And the surprise snowfall on the Sunday afternoon April 11, 1999 of 1-3".

daddylonglegs
Already 6° here in Racine and Milwaukee. Climbing very fast here now...sitting at -2.2F... so 5F gain in less then an hour... should be well above 0F by lunch time. Actually 1F on the bluff already, but they are always warmer on nites like these (cold air drainage)...
Hoosier
-17º at LAF is 38º below the normal min temp for February 11. Home run. BTW, the WL COOP record min for today is -13º set in 1982. -17 is the 2nd coldest February low temperature at the Purdue airport. Been over 30 years since it's been this cold in February. Whitelakeroy
Looks like we torch for 3-5 days and then back into the cold. Pattern looks active too. I did my last good local ride 2 days ago, I don't expect the snow to be as nice by the following weekend and I'm in the UP this weekend. This is my last weekend of events in southern MI. Starting next weekend I begin the Petoskey (Boyne trips). Snow becomes to iffy in around these parts for solid plans in the E/Feb into March as these 3-5 day meltdowns are basically normal in these parts! daddylonglegs
Geos- Up and away! I've got 8F now...so almost +25 from the low this morning. Feb sunshine, some light south winds doing the dirty work. I will say one thing, I do love all the blue skies and sunshine. That will be missed with this pattern change. The NWS has snow chance every day through Monday, but mild temps.

Hoosier
La Porte got down to -20F. That is one of the colder readings I could find in Indiana other than what Jim reported. Looks like Monticello also hit -20F

Jonger
Pretty darn sweet. I have enjoyed it greatly! Probably won't be completely snow-free until late March, but that all hinges on how the pattern transpires after the 5 day torch, it looks very quasi-zonal. Its never easy to find a pattern after day 10.

Its never easy to find a pattern after day 10. It is hard to ignore the seasonal trend. Beginning of Dec 2013 had a 5 days of warmth then the cold pattern. Next Mid-January had the 4 days of warmth and then cold pattern. Now End/Feb will have 3-5 days of warmth and ???? While I don't expect a significant cold pattern and still believe we have some solid winter ahead as we go into March.
