NoVaWx
I remember a dusting event like this before we the VD 2007 storm. That's the only event where sleet was acceptable.
CAPE
Had some yellow returns overhead briefly...snapped this shot. Really rippin here now.
BaltimoreWxGuy
Moderate dusting now in Essex..still can see pavement so cant classify it as a coating yet...I dont know how accurate the LWX radar is being tonight but I figure maybe another hour of halfway decent snow before back to flurries/flizzard and eventual done by
Grothar of Herndon
Nice storm. Official road and car topper. Light snow continues to fall. We may get 1/2" out of this. Everything nice and white again.
MetalCapsFan
Lost a couple of degrees since it started snowing, 11/7 here now. Snow sticking to roads in Baltimore City.
Ian
The climo builder. Model consensus did pretty well. The worst thing about these events is how long we debate 0.05" changes in qpf.
yoda
Took some quick measurements on grass, sidewalk, and driveway... came up with close to an inch...
Four Seasons
Yes, I thought the same thing earlier tonight! Having been around (and shoveled) a lot of snow in my life, I appreciate a nice, gently-falling snow. Even if it's cold outside it's relaxing to watch. Ji
It was exactly like this on the ground...started late evening, ended after midnight...was 19 degrees...I got 1.25"...VD was a week later I remember the event because I was so excited by what models were showing a week later and I couldn't wait for a real storm. The models we're showing a monster snow. Wes even analoged 1983.
Jebman
With 11 inches on the season, I am now doing better with seasonal totals than last year and better than any one of the last three winters.
Ian
yeah...we pretty much analyzed the storm well...I'm hoping for an inch,, but will need to score in this next band It really could have easily gone either way here so it's good we performed again. We seem to do that this winter. Other than that.. need more than this.

Ji
and then the low went to pittsburgh...OKCweatherman was still calling for 12" 5 minutes before the event It went to hell pretty fast but we somehow still got all frozen. It was suppose to be a historic ice storm and ended up sleet. The gfs showed 20 inches for me 3 days before the storm
