BTRWx
For those keeping track of the virga evaporation level, try a TDWR closest to you. Andrews AFB showing that band making it to near the ground over SoMD. I did not know about this, thanks!

Ian
Tons of people have just abandoned their cars in AL/GA etc. What happens to those cars?
Snow General
Well, this is a big surprise, I've picked up 1.5 new snow since about 4:30 pm, big fluffy quarter dollar sized flakes that sparkle on the ground. Still snowing, radar seems to be locked directly over my county?? No complaints here. It has been a great surprise here too! Still way under climo this year, but nice to see a decent event that is covering up even the main roads.
wxdude64
It appears that band you're in is inching ever so slowly close to me. Its epic if you get into it! I've gotten almost another inch in last 30 minutes! HUGE flakes, check the 511 traffic cams for up here.

Amped
Tons of people have just abandoned their cars in AL/GA etc. What happens to those cars? They will come back to them when the snow melts, and still beat DC commute times.

Bob Chill
It's gonna be close but it looks like DC will actually get into the outside band later. Radar kinda shows it pretty nicely. Even if it doesn't reach the ground it's still a band.

Bob Chill
Idk Mitch, I must have my weenie goggles on because I'm pretty sure dc is going to get under a band by 10pm or so. It's kinda lining up. Might only be a car topper but still. Snow is snow. I'm pretty sure I get into some snowtv myself
