Clinch Leatherwood
Because it's virga. I'm under 25dbZ virga as I type this. possible but I don't think so. I think Gin is right, attenuated by snow. I'll know within ten minutes.

Tropopause_Fold
I think BOX was attenuated could not see through the megaband as the reflectivity's waned your new band was picked up, need your ground truth now. i don't think attenuation is much of an issue looking upstream at GYX

Arnold214
WTF! good call i'm stunned! but it only shows up on composite why? the composite is capturing the whole column...and is picking up on reflectivities aloft that aren't hitting the ground. Cold Miser
what in the world are the school systems doing on cape cod? Why prolong it? 8-13" of snow and off and on snow all night....just cancel already. Do they forget parents have to plan? LOL - figures. Last season a bunch of schools cancelled in SNE in advance of a storm that never happened, and this season the proof is on the pavement and no cancel. Oh, the irony. Clinch Leatherwood
Yeah I've never seen it to that extreme though something is weird. On BR3 the leading edge would be here about now, but all I've got is some big flake light snow. I've never seen an instance where the radar is off that badly, what causes it again?
